Bioinformatics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Analyst to join our team at BioTalent Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scientific computing pipelines on the cloud.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud-based scientific computing pipelines
- Expert troubleshooting and diagnostics of pipelines
- Deep knowledge of Linux, git, Docker, C++, and bioinformatics concepts
- Functional administration and user training for pipelines
- Interfacing with colleagues for harmonization of best practices in bioinformatics
- PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bioinformatic pipeline development, containers, and cloud computing
- Proficiency in Python
- Working knowledge of markup/meta-markup languages and data-interchange formats
- Experience with GxP validation of software
