Job Summary

CBI Consultants Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Consultant to join our team. As a Behaviour Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and creating Multi-element Behaviour Support Plans for individuals with disabilities. You will apply Person-Centred Planning and Positive Behaviour Support Principles to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough Functional Behaviour Assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviours
  • Develop and implement Multi-element Behaviour Support Plans that address the individual's needs and goals
  • Train teams to implement Behaviour Support Plans with fidelity, using Behavioural Skills Training
  • Deliver professional report presentations to stakeholders
  • Develop, train, and monitor Safety Plans as needed
  • Provide hands-on training and modelling of Behavioural Techniques
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
  • Think creatively and resourcefully to resolve crisis situations
  • Model Person-Centred Practice and promote a collaborative approach to service delivery
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  • BCBA certification preferred
  • Experience as a consultant in a related field required
  • Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Mandt System or Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification
  • Driver's license and safe, reliable vehicle
  • Private home office
  • Clearance letter for children and vulnerable populations
  • Two professional references and one academic reference
Additional Information

This role involves working during business hours, evenings, and weekends as needed. The starting salary is $61,710.48 to $69,468.75, with a competency-based salary increase. Pro-rated benefits include holiday accrual and extended health. Supervision can be provided for those pursuing BCBA certification, and a training fund is available for those with certification.
