About the Role

Tried & True Builders Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety vest
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors
