Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and Supervise: Train and supervise a team of 3-4 staff members in duties and policies related to accounts payable.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems used in the accounts payable department.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Financial Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Work Coordination: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work tasks to ensure efficient completion of projects.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work as required.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a large caseload.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent written communication, organized, reliable, and ability to work in a team environment.
