Job Title: Content Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Strategist to join our team at the City of Vancouver. As a key member of our Digital Strategy & IT department, you will play a critical role in shaping the digital experience of our citizens.

Job Summary:

The Content Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with the City's business objectives. This includes creating and curating high-quality content, designing user-centered experiences, and ensuring seamless integration with our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a digital content strategy that meets business objectives and user needs
  • Create and curate high-quality content, including text, graphics, and multimedia
  • Design user-centered experiences that meet accessibility standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with digital platforms
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to inform content and design decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital content and user experience
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Communications, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital content creation, user experience design, or related field
  • Strong understanding of digital content management systems and user experience principles
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
