We're seeking a seasoned Angular developer to lead our Mortgage Pricing team's transformation projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with US-based teams and drive the development of a small team of 2 Angular and 2 Java developers in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 1 Angular and 2 Java developers in delivering software solutions.
- Develop and enhance functionality in the Risk and Pricing front end using Angular/HTML5/UI principles.
- Apply subject matter expertise to design and implement solutions according to requirements and specifications given by business analysts.
- Work within existing architecture, coding standards, and tool sets to deliver software that is supportable across the global team.
- Follow the team's agile processes and take responsibility for delivery of tasks on schedule.
Mandatory Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in UI development for large-scale projects in financial services.
- 3+ years of experience in developing solutions using the Angular framework.
- Able to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.
- Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search, or similar cache.
- Familiarity with GIT and CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and the use of micro-services.
- Proven track record of building real-time user interfaces in a Financial Services context.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with mortgages, bond trading, risk, or price capture systems.
