Pricing Analyst Role

At Lawson Products, we're seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our Canadian pricing organization. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing pricing models, ensuring pricing accuracy, and maintaining pricing data. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality results and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, including profitability and freight factors.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, customers, and suppliers to ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Maintain pricing structure and pricing data, both current and historical.
  • Prepare analyses, reports, charts, and graphs monthly, as well as ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Perform financial modeling and analysis of existing accounts and company pricing.
  • Propose solutions to meet organizational pricing and profitability goals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the competition.
  • Create new-item pricing, ensuring compatibility with current lines, profit margins, and market competitiveness.
  • Demonstrate project management skills and the ability to deliver on concurrent initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external pricing customers.
  • Perform situational pricing upon request.
  • Special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or related field, with 3 years of experience in the field or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytic and computer skills with an aptitude in mathematics and experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent data management skills. Capable of planning and accurately executing to goals.
  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex analytics.
  • Self-motivated to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative problem-solving and a certain degree of latitude are expected.
  • Ability to execute and attain measurable results.
  • PC literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred; SAP experience is a plus.
