Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Reliability and Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF) team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership over maintenance, repair, and vendor management operations across the North American market.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and maintenance, with experience in managing complex projects and teams. You will be responsible for developing long-term strategies, negotiating with vendors, and managing a team of 10 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all engineering and commissioning of complex projects
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to site teams, vendors, and leaders within various Amazon teams
- Assist in coordinating information between various teams in the organization
- Develop long-term strategies and assist procurement with negotiations and cost-out initiatives
- Source and hold vendors accountable to established Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and scopes of services
- Manage a team of 10 direct reports
- Travel domestically up to 70% of the time, based on business needs
A Day in the Life:
As a Reliability and Maintenance Manager, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex projects and teams. You will be responsible for holding your team to KPI metrics and pushing them to think outside the box.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of employee and performance management experience
5+ years of distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience
7+ years of facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management experience
Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards
Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics
