We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Child Caregiver Assistant. This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with the opportunity for optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.

About the Role

As a Child Caregiver Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a family setting. Your primary duties will include:

  • Assuming full responsibility for household tasks in the absence of parents;
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties;
  • Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children;
  • Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents;
  • Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development;
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home;
  • Organizing activities such as games and outings for children;
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals;
  • Taking children to and from school and to appointments;
  • SUPVISING and caring for children;

We require an individual who is efficient, organized, and has excellent interpersonal skills. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating patience, honesty, and reliability.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field;
  • Criminal record check;

You must be willing to participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, and develop relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to your salary, we provide optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
