Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Senior Technical Writer to join our team. As a self-starter, you will excel at creating, improving, and shaping an ever-evolving content development environment. You will be an expert collaborator, producing high-quality content formats and bringing innovative ideas to improve processes for content delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze source content to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Design information for conciseness, eliminating non-essential content
  • Organize and facilitate Working Sessions and Review Sessions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring focus and timely results
  • Interface directly with multiple stakeholders within the client base
  • Manage multiple information assets and delivery schedules in a dynamic environment
  • Adhere to Quality Assurance practices prior to distributing information assets to clients

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Technical Communications, Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Information Sciences, English, or Journalism
  • 7+ years of experience developing content for various industries
  • Comfortable with software applications and technology, especially database concepts
  • Demonstrated structured writing competencies
  • Strong leadership and customer-facing skills
  • Experience working with remote team members, leveraging best practices, and enabling technologies
  • Strong customer-facing written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in a variety of PC tools and applications, such as Confluence, JIRA, Teams, Webex, and standard office tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive timelines
  • Professional consulting skills and business acumen to interact with clients and SMEs
  • Ability to identify risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies, and to clearly communicate such to the Senior Lead Writer or Project Managers
  • Experience writing for telecommunications, cloud, and networking sectors is considered an asset
