Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Wabtec Foundry. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain all equipment and machines within the building to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Inspect machinery for defects and potential problems, repairing and replacing parts as required.
- Modify machinery and equipment as needed to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Repair, maintain, and install electrical components, wiring, and equipment of all machinery and facilities in the plant.
- Work with other skilled trades to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Plan repairs and projects with management and peers.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out necessary repairs.
- Ensure all electrical parts, wiring, and equipment conform to electrical code requirements and operate in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identify and report any hazards in the workplace.
- Perform preventative electrical maintenance procedures as required.
- Conduct electrical tests and maintain maintenance and repair records as required.
- Comply with all company rules, policies, and regulations.
- Practice good housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Electrical License issued in Ontario (442A or 309A considered).
- Minimum of 2 years or more experience in an industrial environment.
- Willingness to be flexible for shift coverage.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to communicate in English (written and oral).
- Able to work independently and also be a team player.
- Willingness to take challenges and show initiative.
- Exhibits strong work ethic.
