About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team at National Bank. As a key member of our Digital and Core Banking Services team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing innovative solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design end-to-end technical solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and tools to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Identify and implement integration patterns, such as APIs, streaming, and microservices, to enable scalability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to solve complex problems and deliver composable architectures.
  • Design modular, reusable, and interoperable web and mobile solutions for easy integration and rapid creation of omnichannel experiences.
  • Produce native or hybrid Cloud solutions by identifying the most appropriate AWS services for each project context.
  • Develop and implement robust security measures to protect data, applications, and systems, ensuring data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, presenting and explaining technical solutions, and leading and mentoring a team of developers throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
  • Completed bachelor's degree in information technology, and ten years of relevant experience, or master's degree in information technology, and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a solutions architect, focusing on large-scale, complex solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of software design and development using JEE, Spring Boot, Kafka, and frontend technologies React and/or Angular.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in API security standards and implementation (SSO, OAuth2, OIDC...).
  • Proficient in AWS cloud services, such as EKS and Serverless, as well as structured and unstructured databases, such as Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, Elastic cache Redis, and S3.
  • Mastery of concepts, technologies, and solutions of a modern ecosystem, including Composable architecture, microservices, APIs, Event Driven Architecture, Web and Mobile solutions, security & Cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of the full mobile development/release life cycle.
  • Deep knowledge of Rest, WebSocket, and SSE.
  • Experience with performance and optimization solutions.
  • Holding an AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification is an asset.
Language

English and French are the primary languages used in this role. You will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
