About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Head of Corporate Strategic Finance to join our leadership team at Gorgias. This critical role will guide our financial strategy and enhance our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-growth tech startup environment, demonstrating a proven ability to lead FP&A functions and drive strategic financial initiatives.

This position reports directly to the CFO and will work closely with executive leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning. We are looking for a dynamic leader who can develop comprehensive financial documentation, drive strategic projects, and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Executive Reporting and Analysis: Develop detailed financial presentations, standard monthly and quarterly close reports, and annual budgeting documents, ensuring clarity and strategic insights for key stakeholders.
  2. Leadership in Financial Planning: Spearhead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic planning processes, aligning with Gorgias' overall business objectives.
  3. Executive Business Partnering: Collaborate with G&A and R&D executive teams to drive better business decisions and visibility on financial outcomes.
  4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Accounting, Data & Analytics, and Legal teams to enhance management reporting, operational performance tracking, and financial metrics analysis.
  5. Forecasting and Model Maintenance: Oversee the development and maintenance of P&L financial forecast models, budget models, and databases, ensuring rigorous analysis and accuracy in financial projections.
  6. Comprehensive Financial Reporting: Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on financial performance, including budget variance analysis, scenario analysis, stress testing, and KPI results. Effectively communicate findings to executive leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders.
  7. Strategic Project Support: Collaborate with the CFO, other C-suite executives, and the Corporate Development team on high-impact projects, including capital markets initiatives and fundraising strategies.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced finance leader who has a strong track record in FP&A, financial planning, and strategic project management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Finance, Investment Banking, or PE with prior experience in a corporate FP&A function.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance finance teams.
  • Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills with proficiency in distilling complex business information into consumable and actionable takeaways.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with experience improving and streamlining processes, and developing solutions to operational inefficiencies.
