About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.

You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to prepare patients for testing, perform tests, and provide accurate results. Your strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing excellent patient care.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
  • Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • Recent clinical experience in an ECG department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing
  • Strong sense of initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $28.71 - $30.83. In addition, they may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
