Job Title: Apprentice Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Appenzell Construction Inc.

Job Summary:

The Apprentice Carpenter will assist experienced carpenters in the construction and renovation of residential buildings. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of layouts and measurements for building projects
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials for construction and renovation projects
  • Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain and repair residential buildings and wooden structures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
