We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team at Wegu Manufacturing Inc. as a key member of our manufacturing department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools, inspecting final products, and instructing apprentices. They will also be required to verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and program CNC machine tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Inspect final products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Instruct apprentices in the use of machine tools and manufacturing processes
  • Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Program CNC machine tools to produce complex parts and components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand manufacturing requirements
  • Set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM) to create complex metal parts
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts and components
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in tool and die making or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and machine tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
