The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of codes and standards, with a strong background in mechanical design and a proven track record of working in global cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that KONE equipment and solutions comply with applicable regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle. This will involve collaborating with stakeholders, contributing to and influencing standardization and regulatory bodies, and ensuring that critical information is shared in a timely manner within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with standardization and regulatory bodies to contribute to and influence the development of codes and standards.
  • Ensure that critical information is shared in a timely manner within the company.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (with the possibility of being licensed as a Professional Engineer in all other Canadian provinces).

Experience:

  • 10+ years of work experience in the elevator industry with core mechanical design experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the B-44 Elevator code and National Building Code of Canada as it pertains to elevators.
  • Working in global cross-functional teams both internally and externally.
