Senior Accountant
Regular Position, Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Vantage Elevation. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for analyzing expenses, preparing and posting journal entries, and processing accounts payable invoices.

Vantage Elevation is a leading manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Our company is comprised of eight business units, and we employ over 900 staff across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
  • Understanding of accounting software required
  • MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Minimum 3 years related working experience
  • Attention to detail, analysis of information, accounting, verbal communication

Duties and Responsibilities:
A typical day may include:

  • Analyzing expenses, preparing and posting journal entries
  • Preparing and posting monthly accrual entries
  • Preparing and analyzing account reconciliations
  • Processing accounts payable invoices and payments
  • Assisting with reviewing and evaluating financial data reporting
  • Acting as the point of contact for vendor inquiries
  • Professionally interacting with company auditors, tax auditors, and tax recovery specialists
  • Planning and conducting meetings to ensure compliance with established practices
  • Accomplishing accounting and organizational mission by completing related tasks
  • Following all procedures within the company security policies
