Job Summary

The University of Waterloo is seeking an experienced Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As an Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering programs that promote financial literacy and accounting skills to elementary and secondary school audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development
    • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of outreach programs.
    • Develop and grow accessible programming for youth through partnerships with school boards, community organizations, and donors.
    • Prepare programming content and build a schedule for these initiatives.
  • Community Engagement
    • Assist with the development of programming that encourages engagement with equity-deserving groups.
    • Liaise with other Outreach Coordinators across campus for program delivery.
    • Communicate with internal stakeholders to fulfill programming requirements.
  • Education and Outreach
    • Document outreach programs and events.
    • Report on outcomes for use in marketing and reference for future improvement.
    • Maintain awareness of curriculum updates and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or professional qualification in digital media marketing or a related area.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a classroom, camp, or similar environment.
  • Experience with development and/or delivery of math/financial literacy activities.
  • Strong time management and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability working with teams composed of diverse audiences.
