Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a Summer Student to work closely with our experienced lawyers and contribute to various projects related to legal research, drafting, and project work. As a member of our team, you'll have the chance to develop your skills, build your network, and make a meaningful impact in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting legal research and preparing written materials, including letters, memos, pleadings, and contracts
- Assisting with project work, participating in meetings, and reviewing documents
- Providing support with applications, hearings, regulatory appeals, and contract reviews
- Developing precedent banks, updating templates, and performing data entry tasks
- 1st or 2nd year student of a common law degree program at an accredited school in Canada
- Completed coursework in administrative law, contract law, energy law, Aboriginal law, constitutional law, and civil litigation/process is an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
