About the Role

Cascadia Windows & Doors is seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Construction Services Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our staff in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site visits to review safe practices and identify potential hazards.
  • Compile and maintain safety programs and documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Hold regular Toolbox meetings to share best practices and promote a culture of safety.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards, including the identification and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with employees, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practices and promote a culture of safety.
  • Standardize health and safety procedures to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Support the development of OHS policies and programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid competency certificates and registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a safety officer role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management information systems.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
