Lycopodium Canada is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Project Coordinator to enhance our expanding Toronto team of experienced professionals, in anticipation of exciting new projects both nationally and internationally.

As Lycopodium continues to grow organically due to awarded projects and studies, this pivotal leadership position is accountable for the comprehensive delivery of projects and the management of resources. This role is essential for ensuring that project outcomes align with our clients' expectations and project specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Guarantee the quality of deliverables from the assigned project team, ensuring alignment with project/study needs, company goals, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Enhance and develop the management and technical proficiency of the project team to meet client expectations and project requirements as per contractual obligations.
  • Create and uphold project-specific procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to facilitate efficient teamwork and maintain a consistent high standard of output.
  • Ensure timely and precise project control, including reporting, cost management, scheduling, trend analysis, and change management, in accordance with contractual agreements and internal procedures.
  • Foster and maintain productive relationships with clients.

Qualifications and expertise required:

  • Relevant degree qualifications in mineral processing or related fields, with significant experience in gold mineral processing being essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a medium-sized greenfield gold project from conceptualization to construction and commissioning (approximately $250 million USD).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Solid technical foundation with a comprehensive multi-disciplinary background in mineral processing plant and infrastructure construction.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project execution, constructability, occupational health and safety, environmental considerations, community engagement, and industrial relations.
  • Ability to consistently achieve high standards within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership capabilities, with a talent for delegation and a strong aptitude for strategic thinking and planning.
  • Capacity to assess work practices, implement systems, and propose alternatives and improvements as necessary.
