Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Delta. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and revalue bank accounts for all entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Record and reconcile inter-company and related-party transactions, preparing reports as required.
  • Perform various reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Research and analyze transactions to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Assist with month-end closings and complete month-end tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and assist with note disclosures and supporting documents.
  • Perform financial reporting variance analysis.
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvements and development of value-added reports, including creating new and improving existing working papers.
  • Liaise with external auditors and assist with quarterly and year-end audits.
  • Provide financial information to both external and internal users.
  • Assist with budget planning.
  • Assist with tax filings.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Assist with transfer pricing modeling, posting, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with cost tracking and allocation.
  • Assist with inventory count and inventory adjustments.
  • Assist with government and industry compliance and regulatory reporting.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
  • Analytical skills, and extreme attention to detail.
  • Time management and priority management skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Self-starter requiring limited supervision and a desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs and an advanced Excel user.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and database systems is highly preferred.
  • Working with other members of the Accounting team to ensure goals and objectives are met.
