Elementary Education Assistant

We are seeking a part-time teacher-tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. This role involves working with elementary students in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach reading, writing, math, and French to elementary students
  • Work with high school students in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and English
  • Follow pre-planned lessons and utilize Oxford Learning's proprietary philosophy and methods

Requirements:

  • Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
  • Commitment through to the end of the school year (June 30th)
  • In-person instruction
  • Ability to commute to the designated location
  • Mandatory vulnerable sector screening

Education and Experience:

  • Some post-secondary education preferred
  • Experience teaching or tutoring
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to teach French is highly desired
