Job Summary

As an Instrument Aide in our Central Supply department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by reprocessing medical/surgical instrumentation, preparing cases for Operating Room procedures, and assembling inhalation equipment. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize workload and follow written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate technical equipment, such as autoclaves and cartwash, and manage supplies
  • Transport instrumentation and supplies, and return unused items to proper storage
  • Work safely in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Requirements
  • Community College certificate in Sterile Supply Processing
  • Endoscopy/Olympus certificate and experience an asset
  • Minimum three years of CSR Instrument Aide experience or equivalent
  • MDRD certification an asset
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
