We are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team in one of our beautiful long-term care facilities, Dania Care Home.
About the RoleThis is a permanent part-time position, working every Saturday and Sunday from 09:30-13:30. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform assessments, plan and implement personal and nursing care plans, administer medications, and supervise care staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs assessments to identify residents' needs
- Plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care to residents
- Administers oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
- Directly supervises care staff to meet resident's needs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge and background in Dementia care (preferred)
- Cultural education and experience are preferred
We offer a competitive salary starting at $33.65 per hour, on-site parking, paid time off, and flexible scheduling.
