We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Star House Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Reporting and Scheduling: Prepare and submit reports, and establish work schedules to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
