Construction Estimator

MNG Builders Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems to analyze project data
- Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates
- Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards
- Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in construction estimating
- Permanent employment
- 30 hours per week
- English language proficiency
As a Construction Estimator, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail. You will be required to work under pressure and maintain a high level of organization and flexibility.
