Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at KBI Door Services Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction process, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Instruct apprentices in the proper techniques and procedures for construction tasks.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as needed.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work.
  • Remove rubble and debris from construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work site environment: Outdoors.
  • Work setting: Construction site.
  • Physical demands: Physically demanding, with tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and attention to detail.
  • Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools.
  • Area of specialization: Doors and door frames.
  • Security and safety: Criminal record check.
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
  • Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, reliability, team player, and hardworking.
Work Conditions

This is a temporary position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
