About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at ROAD XPRESS LTD. as a key member of our maintenance crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring timely repairs and minimizing downtime.
  • Diagnose issues using computerized and other testing equipment, determining the extent of repair required and ordering necessary parts.
  • Adjust and repair equipment, replacing defective parts as needed, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Perform welding tasks and test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure the optimal performance of our fleet.
  • Service attachments and working tools, verifying and repairing emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve maintenance goals, demonstrating dependability, flexibility, and excellent oral communication skills.
