Senior Software Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead our cloud development team in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our Platform Services Software Development team, you will be responsible for developing scalable cloud services in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and advocate best engineering practices
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and other partners to achieve business outcomes
  • Mentor team members to develop their careers and achieve individual success
  • Hire and develop top engineering talent
  • Enhance engineering efficiency and promote customer-centricity

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in developing cloud-scale applications and services
  • 8+ years of experience leading and managing cross-functional development teams
  • 3+ years of experience managing other managers, leads, senior developers, and architects
  • Experience leading teams developing large, scalable, available, and resilient cloud data systems
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and exposure to information retrieval/search systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
