Job Title: Senior Cloud Development Manager

Autodesk is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Development Manager to join our Platform Services Software Development team in Toronto, Canada.

The APS Platform offers APIs and services that enable our customers to access and use their design and engineering data on the cloud. As a Senior Cloud Development Manager, you will lead a technical team responsible for developing scalable cloud services in an Agile environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading multiple large-scale initiatives and accountable for delivering business outcomes.
  • Promoting best engineering practices and coordination among teams.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers and other partners to achieve business outcomes and deliver high-quality software meeting customer needs.
  • Inspiring, motivating, and coaching team members to achieve maximum productivity, optimal creativity, and efficiency.
  • Mentoring team members to develop their careers and achieve individual success.
  • Hiring and developing top engineering talent.
  • Enhancing engineering efficiency and influencing improvement.
  • Managing unknowns and helping teams navigate through uncertainties.
  • Promoting customer-centricity and engineering excellence in teams.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in developing cloud-scale and server applications and services.
  • 8+ years of experience leading and managing cross-functional development teams.
  • 3+ years of experience managing other managers, leads, senior developers, and architects.
  • Experience leading teams developing large, scalable, available, and resilient cloud data systems.
  • Experience building API strategy.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Exposure to information retrieval/search systems; Lucene, Elastic Search, OpenSearch systems.
  • Exposure to compute platforms, large-scale cloud compute systems.
  • Experience hiring talented developers and setting up teams for success.
  • Experience managing geo-distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
