Job Description

Role Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of requirements for capital equipment and overseeing the implementation and integration of the equipment into manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of requirements for capital equipment and oversee the implementation and integration of the equipment into manufacturing operations.
  • Work closely with the Project Harmony internal team members to direct and streamline the business needs focusing on support from the estimating needs thru to the production and shipping needs.
  • Lead the manufacturing process improvements with data analysis of the manufacturing processes and direct the overall quality assurance program in an active and hands-on manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' work experience in manufacturing environments with various equipment and prices reviews/implementations.
  • Minimum 5-10 years work experience with progressive responsibility in engineering, operations, or IT departments.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on health and safety experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and working experience with ERP system evaluations and implementations. SAP experience a definite asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an organized fashion keeping within time and budget constraints.
  • Ability to clearly communicate project status(s) via reports, presentations, and project plans.
  • Ability to provide leadership and innovation at all organization levels.
  • Ability to exercise tact and patience in demanding situations.
  • P.Eng. license and/or in progress.
  • JHSC certified.
