Data Protection Specialist

Infotree Global Solutions seeks a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team. This exciting role will play a crucial part in ensuring the company's data protection activities are executed effectively.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of professional experience in data governance or data privacy, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. They will be responsible for driving and contributing to the implementation of our data office framework, working closely with business partners, technology, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy procedures and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements.
- Work with legal, IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure data privacy measures are integrated across all functions and that there is proper governance of personal data.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the inventory of data processing activities, ensuring proper documentation and categorization of personal data being collected, stored, or shared.
- Evaluate potential risks related to data processing activities and third-party vendor data handling and recommend mitigations to reduce exposure.
- Manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) and ensure proper processes are in place to allow individuals to exercise their rights under privacy laws.
- Facilitate Privacy Impact Assessments to ensure the organization's data processing activities meet privacy standards.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct regular privacy awareness training for employees to educate them about best practices and regulatory obligations related to data privacy.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in data governance or data privacy, preferably as a business analyst.
- Preferred experience in data management, governance, privacy, controls, or process improvement.
- Experience preparing senior management presentations and large data sets.
- Elevated level of ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
We estimate the salary for this role to be around $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
