Job Description

The Data Governance Specialist will report to the Canada Chief Data Officer, supporting data protection activities and collaborating with business partners, technology, and stakeholders.

Data Privacy
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy procedures and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with legal, IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure data privacy measures are integrated across all functions.
  • Evaluate potential risks related to data processing activities and third-party vendor data handling.
  • Manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs).
  • Conduct regular privacy awareness training for employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data governance or data privacy and as a business analyst.
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN DATA MANAGEMENT, GOVERNANCE, PRIVACY, CONTROLS OR PROCESS IMPROVEMENT.
  • Ability to conduct/support working discussion in English and French.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year.
