About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a skilled Plasma Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic Plasma Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the collection of plasma in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct registration and confidential screening to determine donor eligibility and provide a positive donor experience.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to donor centre staff, acting as team lead for collection events as needed.
  • Assist in the collection of plasma, working in a diverse team environment to ensure the safe and efficient collection of plasma.
  • Set up booths, tables, and other equipment for mobile events within our communities.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province.
  • 2 years of experience working as a nurse, with certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Previous experience as a preceptor or with coaching others is an asset.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems and programs.
