Mechanical Project Manager

Saxon Mechanical Ltd. is a well-established contractor in Abbotsford, with a century of combined experience in the industry. We are known for providing custom mechanical solutions to residential and commercial projects across Vancouver and Abbotsford.
Your New RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for liaising with senior management at the start of each project and serving as the primary contact for all stakeholders. You will cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include procuring estimates, IFC drawings, and permits, preparing equipment and material lists, and creating site foreman binders with project-specific equipment and shop drawings.
You will oversee the procurement, review, distribution, and tracking of shop drawings, ensuring timely delivery of all ordered equipment. By fostering a respectful relationship with the site foreman, you will develop organizational procedures and coordinate activities with other sub-trades. Regular site visits and monthly on-site reviews will help you monitor project progress and completion for reporting and billing purposes.

To succeed in this role, you will need 5-10 years of combined industry experience and be self-motivated with a strong desire to meet/ exceed expectations. You will need to be familiar with mechanical contracting and associated components from both HVAC and plumbing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, though also work well in a team as they value a cohesive environment. You will be approachable and professional with customers and have some previous experience with Microsoft Suite.
