**About the Role:**

Nova Scotia Health is a leading provider of health services, with a vision to achieve excellence in health, healing and learning. We're seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team, working collaboratively with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Manager of Primary Health Care, collaborating with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with patients and healthcare providers to resolve drug-related problems
  • Participating in interprofessional medical rounds and contributing to patient education
  • Making therapeutic recommendations to the team
  • Ensuring safe and effective drug therapy through participation in drug distribution systems

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll require:

  • A degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university program
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program (an asset)
  • Licensure to practice Pharmacy in Nova Scotia
  • Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting (an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
