Job Description

As a Program Director Lead, you will oversee the operations of 8 Agency Operated Boarding Homes in Brooklyn and Queens, providing direct care to youth with I/DD and significant mental health diagnoses. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic models of care.
  2. Implementing trauma-informed practices in residential programs.
  3. Assisting in the implementation of the Family First Initiative.
  4. Maintaining regulatory compliance with relevant City/State mandates.
  5. Ensuring financial integrity of all programs.
  6. Creating a coherent organizational environment.
  7. Promoting superior casework services.
  8. Lobbying and collaborating for adequate clinical services.
  9. Crafting program milieus that are safe, caring, and therapeutic.
  10. Developing systems for healthy child development, daily routines, limit setting, and enrichment opportunities.
  11. Providing oversight for staff scheduling and daily programming.
  12. Serving on the Agency Administrative Council and the Agency Wide Behavior Management Committee.
  13. Overseeing recruitment and selection of new program staff.
  14. Directly supervising clinical, medical, casework, and managerial staff.
Relationships

You will interface with various stakeholders internally and externally, including casework staff, program management, quality improvement staff, ACS Family Team Conference Coordinators, youth, families, and community members. Key characteristics required for this role include being a team player, possessing cultural sensitivity, believing in people's ability to grow, and maintaining a helping role while setting limits.
