Job Title: Dental Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled Dental Laboratory Technician to join our team at Image Dental Laboratory.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and repairing dental devices, including crowns, bridges, and implants. They will also modify dental devices, prepare plaster models and moulds, and cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and fabricate dental devices, including crowns, bridges, and implants
  • Modify dental devices, including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps, and bands
  • Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental devices
  • Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
  • Mould wax over dentures set-up
  • Finish metal framework of dentures
  • Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
  • Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
  • Polish and buff dentures
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to design dental devices
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a dental laboratory setting
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Strong technical skills, including waxing-up, polishing, and CAD design
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
