Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at ONTARIO INC.

Job Summary:

  • Oversee the daily operations of transportation services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and passengers.
  • Supervise a team of drivers and dispatchers, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:

As a Transportation Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Lead and motivate a team of drivers and dispatchers to achieve high performance standards.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
  • Operational Management:
    • Manage daily transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and vehicle maintenance.
    • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage budgets and expenses related to transportation operations.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
Requirements:

To be successful as a Transportation Operations Manager, you will need:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in transportation operations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver's license and any other certifications required by law or company policy.
