The Environmental I - Cleaner/Housekeeper role at Alberta Health Services is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, hardworking, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with the cleaning and disinfecting of clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments. Key duties include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and surfaces;
  • Restocking supplies in bathroom facilities, including soap, toilet paper, and paper towels;
  • Stripping linen and remaking beds in patient rooms;
  • Replenishing cleaning supplies and linens as needed;
  • Identifying and reporting potential hazards to supervisors;

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and possess basic computer knowledge.

Requirements
  • Grade 10 or equivalent education;
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office;
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and lift up to 22 pounds;
  • Dependable, thorough, and able to work with minimal supervision;
