About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Application Security Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our AWS Security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough security reviews of AWS applications and services
  • Develop and implement secure architecture designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities
  • Design and implement threat models to protect against emerging threats
  • Develop and maintain security training programs for internal development teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing security solutions at the business division level
  • Understanding of network and web-related protocols (such as, TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
  • Understanding of web services
  • Experience with multiple programming languages (such as, Java, C++, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.)
