Job Title: Educator (Rehabilitation Specialist)

At the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB), we are seeking a highly skilled Educator (Rehabilitation Specialist) to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the education and rehabilitation of individuals in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of our clients
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to assess client needs and develop rehabilitation plans
  • Provide education and training to clients on daily living skills, behavior management, and other essential life skills
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed
  • Participate in staff training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in rehabilitation education
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Special Education or related field
  • 2 years of experience in rehabilitation education or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Cree culture and language is an asset
