About This Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and passionate vDU System Designer to join our team within the Business Unit Networks. This role will focus on the development and implementation of cutting-edge virtualized RAN solutions, working closely with customers to deliver innovative 5G network infrastructure.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the architecture definition and drive the implementation of Cloud Native based vDU systems.
  • Conduct system studies for products and features, contributing to product evolution and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure scalability, resilience, and performance by leveraging the capabilities of a Cloud-Native Platform with advanced hardware accelerators.
  • Modularize implementations to support various interfaces (proprietary, ORAN) and radio types (Macro, Mid-Band AAS, High Band, Indoor).
  • Participate in proof-of-concept development and interface with customers to understand their needs and future requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of roadmaps and strategies for hardware and software platforms.
  • Develop Intellectual Property and cultivate a systematization that enables rapid feature parity in Stand-Alone and Hybrid network environments.
  • Work on 3GPP NR and ORAN standards protocols, focusing on advanced 5G features.
  • Develop simulation tools to test system performance of various L1/L2/L3 algorithms and benchmark expected performance metrics.
You Will Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in Wireless System architecture/standardization or Cloud Native product architecture/development.
  • 5-7 years of experience in functions related to NR DU or Radio systems (Graduate studies in a relevant area will count as experience).
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience developing wireless system models and simulation tools for performance evaluation of 5G RAN systems. A strong understanding of wireless channel models and L1/L2/L3 algorithms is essential.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native core design principles is desired.
