Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist/Painter to join our team at On Side Restoration. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional results in drywall installation, repair, and painting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Tear out old or damaged drywall to prepare surfaces for new installation.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks using trowel and broad knife.
  • Tape and embed joints to create a seamless finish.
  • Texture all types of surfaces to achieve a smooth and even finish.
  • Prepare and protect work sites to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Painter Responsibilities:

  • Estimate material quantities by measuring surfaces, reviewing scopes, sketches, and work orders.
  • Remove old coatings using solvents, heat, sanding, wire brushing, or water and abrasive blasting.
  • Prepare surfaces for covering by cleaning, filling nail holes and cracks, and sanding rough spots.
  • Apply undercoat primer or sealer before painting, or apply sizing before wallpapering.
  • Match specified colors by using premixed paints or mixing color and thinning and drying additives.
  • Apply liquid coatings such as paint, stain, or varnish to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
  • Apply finishes that are sponged, ragged, and layered.
  • Apply paper, vinyl, or natural and synthetic fabric wallcoverings.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in construction environments with tools and skills to use them.
  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, passion for quality, and pride in work.
  • A safety mindset.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean criminal record.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
