Job Summary

A & A EXCAVATING LTD. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as backhoe excavators and loaders in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment in a variety of settings, including demolition, excavation, and land clearing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to plan methods and sequences of operation.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment, and refill tanks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment as required.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
