Your Opportunity
BDO Digital is seeking a skilled Dayforce General Ledger Implementation Consultant to join our People Experience team, with the ability to work from anywhere in Canada. The ideal candidate will own the following responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the GL implementation lifecycle, including consulting with clients to collect, document, and validate functional requirements, solution design, configuration, unit and integration testing, training, and deployment.
- Apply functional and technical expertise to effectively execute requirements.
- Partner with client project managers and executives throughout the implementation.
- Engage with key client stakeholders, such as Controllers, Accountants, and Financial Officers, to analyze and document their specific GL posting requirements.
- Consult and advise clients on best practices that maximize value and return on investment.
- Collaborate with the project team, internal partners, external clients, and third parties to ensure a successful delivery.
- Provide internal status updates, noting issues/risks with recommended resolutions.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, with multiple competing priorities.
- Implement Organizational Readiness best practices in preparation for rollout.
- Train client staff to capably perform day-to-day activities.
- Manage multiple client/project engagements simultaneously.
- Identify best practices/lessons learned and document/share internally.
- Complete new release training as needed and be our expert on Dayforce.

Your Experience and Education
- 2+ years of Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation experience, with Dayforce experience preferred but similar solutions such as UKG, ADP, etc. also considered.
- Practical knowledge of accounting and payroll, production environment, and implementation practices.
- Deep proficiency with XML/XSLT and experience with Data Conversion tools/processes (ETLV).
- High-level proficiency creating HR, Payroll, Benefits 834 or Cobra files using XML/XSLT methodology.
- Understanding of common Human Capital Management (HCM) business practices.
- Relationship management and consulting acumen – asking the right questions to design the right solution.
- Ceridian Integration and Ceridian Data Conversion Certification is an asset.
- Understanding and developing relational databases and SQL is an asset.
- Self-motivated, articulate, and able to engage audiences.
