About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at Safeway. As a Deli Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and experience the freshest hot and ready-to-eat meals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service and greet customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • Process cash register payments and handle customer transactions efficiently
  • Prepare and present hot and cold food items, including sandwiches, salads, and soups
  • Use commercial power equipment, such as slicers and fryers, to prepare food items
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
