Job Title: Part-Time Math Tutor Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified part-time math tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. As a math tutor, you will work directly with students, helping them develop a stronger understanding of math concepts and build their confidence in these areas. You will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in grades 9-12, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies.

Key Responsibilities


  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, as well as vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology.
